Celebrities Randy Quaid and wife Evi have been arrested, it has been reported. They have been charged with residential burglary charges. According to Noozhawk, Quaid, 59, and Evi Quaid, 47, were booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on Saturday night on charges of felony residential burglary and misdemeanor entering a noncommercial building without consent. Evi Quaid was also booked for misdemeanor resisting arrest. Bail has been set at $50,000 each.
Randy Quaid is an American actor best known for his role as Cousin Eddie in the National Lampoons Vacation movies, as well as his numerous supporting roles in films such as The Last Detail, Independence Day, Kingpin and Brokeback Mountain.
This is not the first time for Quaids. On September 24, 2009, Quaid and his wife were arrested in Texas for allegedly defrauding an innkeeper, burglary, and conspiracy in California. The arrest stemmed from an incident earlier in which the Quaids had allegedly left a Santa Barbara, California hotel with a balance due of approximately $10,000. Even though they had later paid the entire bill, the two were still arrested on September 24 and released on bail later that evening.
